Protect the main circulation route
Keep the path from the door to the bed, wardrobe and window comfortable. Storage that narrows this route creates daily friction even if it adds capacity.
Choose wardrobe doors from clearance
Hinged shutters need swing space; sliding shutters trade full opening for reduced swing conflict. Decide after placing the bed and bedside furniture at realistic sizes.
Use loft storage for the right things
Luggage and seasonal items suit high storage better than daily clothes. Continuous lofts can visually lower the room, so use them where the capacity is genuinely needed.
Combine functions carefully
A dresser-study combination can save wall length if mirror, laptop, chair and charging needs are all resolved. Multi-function furniture only helps when both functions remain comfortable.
Do not oversize the bed
A larger mattress affects wardrobe clearance, bedside access and the possibility of a desk. Test the complete room layout before fixing furniture dimensions.
